Ever since I can remember

I have loved playing soccer. My father is from Argentina and I think I was able to kick a ball as soon as I could walk. Watching soccer games on television and kicking the ball around is a constant in our household. I started playing competitively at age 5. My family has moved a few times and I have been on different teams, playing in different states, and at different levels. From 2015 until fall of 2020 I had lived in Massachusetts and moved up from NEP to NPL to ECNL. I graduated in May 2021 through the US Performance Academy online school for elite athletes while in Spain.

At the present

I am playing for the Maryland Bobcats FC. I recently signed my first professional contract with this team after spending two years developing my football skills in Valencia. I am taking this opportunity to advance my development as a professional player. The level this first-team environment provides and the skilled players I work with challenge me daily to be my best and fight for the next position.

My Goal

is to develop as a player and move up the professional soccer later. I feel I can learn a lot at every step and as I move forward, the more I can advance professionally and personally. I would welcome the opportunity to continue playing in the US and exploring the different levels and leagues here. Returning to Europe or playing in Argentina are also part of my long-term goals. I feel comfortable in all these arenas, and the high quality of play is a more desirable environment for me to continue to grow. I am certain my hard work, determination, skill, practice, and passion will lead me to bigger and greater opportunities in the future. My ultimate goal is to represent my country in a World Cup.

My Soccer

I appreciate all the feedback I get from coaches and feel this quote is a good representation of who I am. I try to be a  good team leader and make a positive impact through my performance and interactions with my teammates and coaches.

"Marcos, you have been an incredible utility player. Your knowledge of the game allows you to read situations combined with your strength and technical ability allows you to control games".

My Philosophy

I like to think of myself as a good team player and a good teammate. I really feel it is important to contribute to the teams that I am on in many ways. At the same time I know have to always work on my own skills and try to concentrate on what I can control. It is not always easy :). I very much enjoy the camaraderie of being on a team and helping my team be better.
